๐Ÿ“ Location: The Clubhouse, 1059 Vallecito Rd, Carpinteria

We are honored to host a special presentation from HopeNet of Carpinteria, entitled Hope and Healing: A Community Conversation on Suicide Prevention.

This important conversation will be co-presented by Becki Norton and Amrita Salm, Ph.D., two deeply respected community leaders who have dedicated their lives to education, service, and advocacy.

About the Presenters:

  • Becki Norton is a retired bilingual teacher and school psychologist who spent her career supporting and empowering students and families. She continues to serve through her work with HopeNet, Carpinteria Immigrant Rights Coalition, and local wildlife preservation groups.

  • Amrita Salm, Ph.D. retired from a career in higher education and co-founded HopeNet of Carpinteria. She has been active in fundraising, school board service, youth support initiatives, and environmental advocacy throughout her years in Carpinteria.

Together, they bring invaluable experience and insight to a conversation that touches every community: suicide prevention and the power of hope and healing.

We encourage you to bring a friend and, if youโ€™d like, a dish or beverage to share. This will be an evening not only of learning but of community building.

โœจ Join us in standing together for hope, healing, and support.
